2026 Annual Wine Tasting & Fly Tying Event
Umpqua River Lodge is hosting our second annual wine tasting and fly tying experience on February 21st, 2026. Don’t miss out on this popular event as you will taste five wines paired with appetizers from three of our favorite vineyards in the Umpqua Valley while learning to tie flies for trout, steelhead and smallmouth bass. This is very popular and space is limited. We require an RSVP by February 14th, 2026.

Meet The Team
The Lindsley family, deeply passionate about the stunning beauty and rich history of the Umpqua River Valley, has made the heartfelt decision to retire from their long-standing careers in healthcare to fully immerse themselves in their true loves: fine wine and fly fishing. Their goal is to create unforgettable experiences filled with laughter and connection for guests visiting their charming lodge and well-stocked fly shop, where they invite visitors to explore the serene landscapes, taste meticulously crafted wines, and enjoy the thrill of casting their lines into the crystal-clear waters of the river, hoping to hook local steelhead, salmon or bass while sharing stories and making lasting memories together.
Things To Do
We will organize a memorable day visiting 3-4 picturesque vineyards nestled in the scenic landscapes of Oregon’s wine country, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste Oregon’s renowned Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and a delightful selection of other exquisite Pinot wines. As we traverse through the rolling hills and lush vineyards, our knowledgeable guide will share insights about the region’s rich winemaking history and the unique characteristics that make each vineyard special. Maybe you want to check out the wildlife safari or just relax on the property and refresh your soul. Ever think of catching 100 smallmouth bass in a day on a fly rod? Learn of all the opportunities at our lodge and let us create lifelong memories for you.

Umpqua River Lodge is our prized jewel, offering 6,337 sq feet of luxurious space with breathtaking views of the river, mountains, and vineyards, creating an enchanting atmosphere for relaxation. The lodge features both comfort and elegance, with spacious common areas and cozy nooks for guests to unwind while enjoying the scenery. Our Guest House is a charming 3,192 sq foot country home that provides picturesque mountain and river views, perfect for families seeking a tranquil escape. We take pride in supporting Trout Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited, actively participating in initiatives that promote conservation and sustainable practices.

The Garage has everything you need to enjoy a day or week on the Umpqua River. We have private river front access with boat launch just steps from the lodge where you can catch 50 smallmouth bass in a day.
